The Ottawa River is now seeing higher water levels over the past few weeks – resulting from the snow melt from the northern areas of the Ottawa River and higher-than-average rainfall over the past month.
If you want to volunteer to help with the flooding efforts, you can register online or in person at one of the City’s Incident Command Centres:
- Cumberland: Fire vehicle located at the corner of Morin Road and Phillip Road
- Constance Bay: Paramedic vehicle located at 262 Len Purcell Drive
- Britannia: Paramedic vehicle located at the corner of Jamieson Street and Kehoe Street
The City expects that there will be a need for volunteers for the next three weeks as communities recover from the impacts of flooding.
Remember, if your property is at risk call 3-1-1. If it is an emergency situation, call 9-1-1.
